Whats up everyone! It's been quite a while since I have last blogged, two months to be exact. Ill be honest I've been lagging, and its been like crazy hectic for everybody that works on a computer in media. But anyway I had my chance at redemption this weekend, and took it. I put up a new show with more to come, so check it out. I also put up some cool videos on the DVD page of some of the local things that have been going on around Villa Park as well as our Cross Country team's banquet. Anyways, last week of school before winter break and everybody is counting down the days. I wish everybody a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! And a Happy New Year (2012) woot! See you back soon.

Hey Everyone. I've been sick at home so I had some extra time to throw some new videos and shows up, so check it out! I put our first show of the year up, as well as the show intro, and Football game. They all look really good so nice job to our editors, keep up the good work! Our Spartans have been on fire and just overall killing it on the field lately, so look ahead for some more awesome football vids.

Hi there, I'm August Manley, I'll be taking over the VPHS Media website until my senior year in 2014. Right now I'm a sophomore, and I've been an editor since I transferred to VPHS in November. Now since its the last day of school I've officially become the new Webmaster. Throughout this period of time as webmaster, I plan to design a new animated website. It may take a while but it will be totally worth it. I also want to note that Dr. B is one of the greatest teachers ever! So to wrap things up I will Hopefully post a new blog once every two weeks. This year at VPHS has been really fun and im looking forward to next year and the media summer camp next week.

Sincerely, August Manley

June 10, 2011

All right, so this will be my last post, EVER. With that, I'm going to tell you that August Manley, one of our wonderful editors will be taking over. As the year is coming to a close, I hope this school year was amazing for everyone. It's been a great year at media, and stay tuned for next year. Also, thank you Dr. Bartrom for taking care of media. Seniors are now finished, and will be graduating on June 16th. Congratulations to the Class of 2011! To all the other students, finish well. You're almost done! Thank you guys for reading the blogs, watching the videos, and visiting the site. Have a wonderful summer.

Love, Gabriela Chao

April 18, 2011

Hey everybody! So we're back to school again, and I bet we could all agree that Spring Break was probably much needed. Hahaha. For me, I was able to catch up on some sleep, hangout with friends, and upload these wonderful videos on the DVD Production page. Check them out! Now that we're back to school, our media class is ready to present more shows just for you. Our media class is also entering a competition for a number of edited works that the editors have done. Anywho, I hope all of you had a wonderful spring break, and I hope the return to classes isn't too harsh. OH! One last thing, don't forget about APs! Study study study! Good luck everyone. Just think, we have two more months till the last day of school. Have a good one.

Gaby

March 11, 2011

We are now in the month of March. Personally, I'm really excited because us Seniors will be graduating in three months! We recently finished the Winter Formal DVD, so check it out! Relive it if you went. ;D Well, a few of our media class students were able to go to the Oscars and interviewed a few people in involved in foreign films. We are currently editing it, so keep an eye out. I've updated a bit of the DVD Production and TV Production pages. Today was also our assembly for Mr. Villa Park and Spring Sports. Well, I hope you all have an amazing day, and Happy Almost St. Patrick's Day! I'll be back! :D

Gaby

February 15, 2011

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, so I hope everyone had fun, single or taken. :D As always, our media class is working hard to bring the best we can. I added two videos from Club Shred from 2006 and 2007. It's pretty cool, so if you want you can check it out! Winter Formal was also this past weekend. Was it fun? I'm a senior, but I didn't go, but I heard Pretend City was cool. Our media class will also be creating the Winter Formal DVD, so keep an eye out! In a couple of weeks or so, some of us will be going to the Oscar's as well. It sounds pretty amazing, and we will also be covering the event when we go. Well, I hope you have a great day. Check some videos out, and I'll be back soon!

Gaby

January 10, 2011

Welcome back to school! Now that our three week break from school is over, it's time to start to work again. Also, welcome to the New Year!!! How are those New Year's resolutions going? Hahaha. I hope your holiday was full of fun times. All right, so our class for VPHS media is back to working to get the shows out for you to see, so keep a look out. Once again, I apologize for any delays on our website. That's one of my resolutions by the way. :D So that's it for my little update. Can you believe we have 6 months left of school?! (Good Luck. :p) Anyways, hope you have an awesome day, and while you're at it, enjoy a show!

Gaby

December 6, 2010

Hey everybody. It has definitely been a long time since I've left word about our class. I apologize forthe delays, but there have been programming problems for our website. Thank you for your patience. :] Ok, so Thanksgiving passed by quickly. I hope everyone is stuffed and happy from turkey! College applications have also passed by very quickly for the seniors. It has definitely been a stressful month. Now it's December, and the holidays are around the corner. Our media class is going to have a media dinner which will be featured on our show, so keep an eye out for that! I just have to say I'm so excited for the holidays. If only it snowed in Orange County, right? Anyways, I'm going to try to catch up on the things I missed from the web not working. Happy Holidays!!!

Gaby

October 19, 2010

Its been so long hasn't it?! Ok, so our media class has been hard at work trying to make a better show for you. :] As a class, we're continually making adjustments and hope you enjoy seeing them progress. I've been updating the shows so keep an eye out! Since its the month of October, you must have a lot of things or events going on. Actually, Homecoming just happened this last weekend. If you went, I hope you had fun. Also, don't forget that tomorrow is Senior Mass Picture! I'm thinking that it's going to be TONS of fun. Thanks for checking in at vphsmedia and hope you enjoy the work we've been doing. :D Oh. and Brainstorm for some awesome costumes, I heard that Lady gaga, Sarah Palin, and Snooki have been really popular at Halloween stores. Interesting, huh? xD

Gaby

August 30, 2010

Hey everyone! I hope you guys had a memorable summer of 2010. Our media class has gotten loads of things done. Our class had our media workshop, went to the beach, and we even have our intro completed. I hope you guys stay tuned to watch for more works coming from VPHS media. We're just beginning the new school year, so keep an eye out for some of our work. Thanks for reading! Also, if anyone is interested into becoming our new Web-author for coming years, please let us know! Ask Dr. Bartrom if you're interested. Be back later! :]

Gaby :p

May 23, 2010

Hellooo. I know it has been awhile, but it's been an EXTREMELY busy month(s). Just last week, our media class was taking pictures for this year's class. Can you believe we have less than a month of school left? The Media Awards are also coming up for this school year, so look forward to it. Attend it, and have fun! Also, our very own, Chris Young, won 1st for his Intro for this year's show. So congratulations to Chris! I'll be leaving more blogs as I try to update more. There's a lot of stuff left with projects and tests and all, but let's finish the year strong!

Gaby :p

April 12, 2010

Hey everybody! I hope you all had an awesome spring break because we got two weeks off. I thought it went by way too fast, but look at the bright side, we're almost done with our 2009-2010 school year. Don't forget about APs, CSTs, or SATs. It'll be a busy year, but I'm sure we're capable. Finish the year off strong, right? :D Well, media is as busy as ever but we'll be sure to be completing as much as we can. You have no idea how happy I am to have the website up and running again. You'll be sure to see many updates on the website from us at VPHS media. Have an amazing day!

Gaby :]

March 7, 2010

I'M BACK!!! After many, tiresome technological difficulties, I am finally back. I hope everyone is doing well. Our media class is up to a lot these days. The Oscars recently happened, and a number of our seniors were able to attend the event. It sounded really fun! Everyone said they had a great time. Anyways, thank you for your guys' patience, and I promise that there will be a lot of updates soon to come. Have a great St. Patricks Day!

Gaby :]

January 28, 2010

Heyooo. So I've been TRYING to fix this program that is necessary to upload videos and pictures on the website. No matter what I try, it is not working. Nobody is really sure how to fix it, so I am VERY sorry for not getting this website updated. While I'm here, I'll just update about the school year. Last week, we finished our finals. I hope everyone did well and finished off great. Also, last saturday was the SATs. I took it at Orange High. It went pretty well. :D Oh! We also had a late start yesterday. It was epic, getting to sleep in. That's all for now, but hey! If you think you have a solution to my filezilla problem, please contact me @ isoforgotit@yahoo.com. :D Thanks! Oh and Kevin is awesome.

Gaby :]

January 11, 2010

Hello everybody! Today was our first day back from our MUCH needed three day weekend. If only it was a little longer, right? hahah, I wish. :D Anyways, I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and an eventful Happy New Year's!!! I can't believe it's already 2010. Where did the years go? I made a lot of New Year's resolutions. One of mine is to get this website fully updated before the end of this week. Of course, grades are on that list. What are yours? Make a list! :D Last month, our media class had our banquet which was very fun. It's going to be the topic of one of our upcoming shows, so keep an eye out for that. Because of our long break, we have a wave of untouched work to do, so many of us in VPHS media are hard at work! To the students at VP, keep studying! The semester is almost over, and our finals are coming. Just think about that 3-day weekend and 4-day weekend that are coming up. OH! Don't forget those two minimum days! Just Study hard and keep up the awesome work. I hope everyone had a great break, and I'll be back soon!

Gaby :]

December 10 , 2009

Currently, I'm trying to update the website as much as possible, so... yeah! I'm sorry for the delay, but our DVD ripping program was giving me problems, but it's fixed. Thankg goodness. I'm getting excited for the upcoming holiday vacation. Three weeks! Can you believe it? Well, tomorrow there is going to be a media banquet which wll be featured in our holiday, so keep an eye out for it ;]. Everything has been extremely busy lately with all the tests and homework before the break. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday. Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy New Year/ etc. :]

Gaby

November 6 , 2009

Hey everybody!! I"m back again and ready to update on a few things. We've been getting a lot of days off in school and next Wednesday we have no school. So that should be great. :] Everyone in media has been working really hard on a few of our projects too. We just finished our Homecoming DVDs which many of our fellow students already received. Also, I'm excited for many upcoming holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas (who doesn't love presents?). :D I've been updating some more and fixed some of the problems so yea! Pretty cool. I guess I will be back soon. Check out the vids!

Gaby

October 13 , 2009

Hey again. I've been doing my best to post videos to keep up to date, but it's getting busy. I was unable to put VP in the OC: Show 2 up because it was the only one tht wouldn't load, so I'm trying to solve that. Homecoming was on Saturday, and from what I heard, it was pretty fun. Also, since it's October, don't forget to trick-or-treat!!! Have a great day!

Gaby

September 24 , 2009

Hey everyone! This is Gaby. Well, I'm FINALLY back on the web. We had some technical difficulties, but thankfully Curtis helped. Thank you Curtis! Okay, so we started school more than a month ago. This may be a little late, but welcome back! Everyone like their classes? Last night was Back to School Night. My parents and I went. Also, there has been a lot of chaos about Homecoming. I swear, everywhere I turn someone is talking about it. Well, I am going to post some shows we have finished, and they'll be up in a little bit. Don't forget to check them out. :]

Gaby

September 23 , 2009

Yo! It's Curtis. Just finished updating everything in the production department. I guess once your family, you never leave. Make 2010 a good year and stay legit.

Peace. =)

August 1 , 2009

Hey everyone! It's been a month since I have last updated. I was recently informed that we are adding another show. We will be starting the Varsity Women's Basketball show. That should be exciting. That being said, we have the intro up in TV Production, so check it out. Hope everyone has had a good summer so far. We have 3 more weeks! Excited? Don't forget, there is registration coming up! I'm not sure about ALL the dates, but I know the Juniors are on August 11, Seniors on August 10, and yea that's all I know. We are also starting classes 5 minutes earlier, so the bell rings at 7:55 or 6:55 if you have zero period. Can you believe that?! Oh well, don't be late on the first day! See you when school starts! :D

Gaby Chao

July 1, 2009

Ok, so I know I've been saying goodbye for the summer a lot, but I swear this is the last one. I think. This is a blog just for those who have been wondering where all the videos you want to see are. For next year's intros, you can find them in TV and DVD Production. The Media Awards is posted in DVD Production and so is Graduation. I'm sorry for the delay. The internet has been...interesting. That's all for now, have a Happy July 4th!!!

Gaby Chao

June 26, 2009

The Summer workshop has been a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure everyone learned a lot within the last week. The cast for VP Noticias and VP In The OC recently went to the beach to create an intro for next year's shows. They'll be posted up shortly in the DVD section. Well, I'm pretty sure everyone is looking forward to next year. If not, then I'm sorry. I hope this summer is eventful for everyone. I'm going to be stuck in SAT prep everyday until school starts. Whatever you are doing, have fun! Stop by the beach or hangout with friends. Maybe even check out more of our DVD or TV production. Live up Summer 2009.

See you guys next year! :]

Gaby Chao

June 17, 2009

Right now, I am writing my First actual blog. Well, the blog that I'm supposed to be doing by myself. School's out and Summer's beginning off well. I hope everyone's having a good one. I have to say it was a fun year. I learned so many new things especially in media. I'm also thankful for Crystal, because she taught me a lot of things over the last semester. Hopefully she'll visit, just in case I make a mistake...just kidding. But really, I hope she does visit. As the next school year is coming around, I have a lot of things to do, and I know that many of you do too. Maybe preparing for SATs or sports, whatever it is, good luck. We at media have been preparing for the upcoming year. There are a lot of new people in our class. There also will be another Web-author. Jason Stevens is going to help keep up the website. So welcome Jason! He's going to be a junior as well. That's it for now. Jason and I look forward to the next year of web-authoring. Have a great summer everyone!

June 8, 2009

I started out in this class not knowing anything about working on websites. Slowly through the year I learned how to post blogs, create pages, and put up pictures and videos among other things. Just when it was becoming too easy for me, my screen went black to make things a little more challenging and I have been working that way ever since. But I have loved learning all that I have and I would not have traded the experience for anything.I would like to thank Dr. B for the opportunity and allowing some girl she had never met and whom had no relatives previously in Media to join her class. The above is closer to what I wish I would have said at the Media awards. Well, this is my last blog. Next year I will be going to Berkeley so I am handing the website over to the capable hands of Gaby Chao. I will very much miss working on this site. Thanks to all of you who actually read my blogs and watch the videos I put up. It was my pleasure. Lead Editor Ben White says "Hi."

Your Webmaster,

Crystal Platas

April 29, 2009

Hi everyone! Gaby and I are doing a joint blog today. Alright, first me (Crystal): Well, we have reached AP testing time again and I cannot tell you how excited I am.I will be taking AP Government on Monday, Ap Enlish Literature on Thursday, AP Physics the following Monday, AP Psychology on Tuesday, and AP Economics Thursday. That should be super. And then graduation will be following soon after, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Good luck to everyone who has AP tests. In the words of a favorite math teacher (Mr. Lynch) "Take tenacity to the capacity" and "Strive for a 5." Okay, here's Gaby:

Hey everyone! Gaby here. Turns out that I will take over an editorial position and as webauthor. Like Crystal previously brought up, AP testing is coming up. Luckily I have no APs to prepare for, but I will next year. My sympathy goes to those stressing about the AP tests right now. Well, that's all that there is to talk about. At least that's what Crystal says. There will be more blogs when the chaos of testing is over. Good luck with testing!

Crystal: I said no such thing! I said that is all my mind is currently able to think about. But I did put up some new Spanish shows. Estan muy bueno. This blog has been a combine effort from your old webmaster and your new one. It was fun. :)

Crystal and Gaby

April 2, 2009

Spring Break!! I'm going to Myrtle Beach to eat at Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock, my two favorite restaurants, so I'm pretty excited. Oh, happy Senior Day of Spirit Week! I'm getting ready for my free Senior BBQ lunch. In Media news,We have started producing a new show for all of our Hispanic viewers called "VP Noticias." It is hosted by Jessica Medina and Maribel Marquez and is entirely in Spanish. I posted the first two shows, so make sure to watch those. Even if you don't speak Spanish they are still informative and entertaining. I hope everyone has a great Spring Break!! Get lots of rest because when we get back AP tests will be coming up and then we will be nearing the end of this school year! Be back soon.

Crystal

March 17, 2009

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Hope you're all wearing your green today...or not if that's not your thing... I have put up the soccer video in DVD Production so you can view a slideshow of our soccer team. Editor Kevin Dilger can be seen as goalie on the thumbnail. I also put up the girl's water polo and the band shows under TV Production. The Oscar show should be ready soon. It has been an interesting couple of weeks working on the site as the backlight on my computer has gone out and my screen is very, very dark. I'm getting used to it though. I can find my mouse on the screen pretty quickly. Although, I have noticed that in my concentration I tend to make odd faces at my computer, not realizing that all people behind me see is my facial expressions reflecting off my black screen. :). But even an unlit screen will not keep me from putting up the shows for you to watch. So go ahead and check out the newest additions and I will have more posted as soon as I can. Happy St. Patty's Day again!

Crystal

February 27, 2009

Hi, Gaby here again. Starting off, I have considered moving to an editorial position. I've truly enjoyed working with Crystal, she's amazing. Also, we are beginning a new show in Spanish, organized by Jocelyn Somali. We will be filming these new episodes on Fridays, and it will become a regular feature next year. Adding on to the foriegn languages, we will be adding a Russian segment. All of these new installments are very exciting. All of us in media are truly looking forward to all of it. Hopefully all of the new stuff will work out well. Right now, Josh and Sam are in the studio working on the Oscar's show, that's exciting. Further notifications will come! That's all for now!

Gaby

February 23, 2009

These past few days were exciting ones in the film industry. Yesterday was the 81st Academy Awards, which I spent seven hours watching (with the Red Carpet shows, the ceremony, and the Barbara Walters special). I thought this year's Oscars was especially entertaining with Hugh Jackman as host. But the important news is that on Friday, a large group of students from our Media class were able to actually visit the Kodak theater and interview those involved with the nominated foreign films. The cast and crew began their day at the Linwood Dunn Theater where the photo op for the nominees was taking place and interviews were being given. The winner in the foreign film category was "Departures" from Japan. Director Yojiro Takita was at the awards last night to give his acceptance speech, which was personally one of my favorite speeches. After interviewing the nominees, the Media crew went to the Rennaissance Hotel to take their annual "Red Carpet Crew" photo and then went back to the Kodak Theater where they were able to walk on the Red Carpet! Sounds to me like an amazing day. Hooray for Hollywood!

Crystal

February 3, 2009

Hello, this is Gaby Chao. I'm going to be the webmaster next year. That's all I have to say for now.

Gaby

February 3, 2009

Happy February! I have added more videos to the DVD Production page, including this year's water polo and rotary. For those of you who use Internet Explorer and were unable to bring up videos, I have fixed the problem (Finally!) and they should all work now. I also added some pictures from production (seen below) so you can see the cast and crew at work. It's getting closer to Oscar time, so the Media attendees are preparing for their time on the Red Carpet. The nominees in the Best Foreign Film category are "The Baader Meinhof Complex" from Germany, "The Class" from France, "Departures" from Japan, "Revanche" from Austria, and "Waltz with Bashir" from Israel. The cast will be interviewing the directors of these films in less than a month and of course I will have the footage from that online soon after! Until then.

I have found a webmaster for next year. Woo! Gabriela Chao will be coming into Media next semester hopefully. If not, then next year. She is a sophomore, so she will be with us for two years. She will also be translating the show into Mandarin. So welcome Gaby! In other news, about twenty students from our class are currently preparing for their trip to the Oscars! They will be interviewing the people who worked on the nominees in the foreign film categories. I will keep you updated on that as it gets closer.

Crystal

January 12, 2009

Hi everyone! As I will be graduating this year, I am looking for someone to replace me as webmaster. If you are a VP student and are interested, talk to Dr. Bartrom in room 504, come in to see me during 4th period in her class, or find me on campus. No web experience necessary. It's really fun, so think about it.

Crystal

January 6, 2009

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fantastic two weeks and one day break! I don't know why we had the extra day, but I appreciated it and I like to think it was in honor of my birthday, which was yesterday ;). I had a really good break, just relaxing, opening gifts, and eating lots of food. Sadly, that is over, but we are now almost halfway through the school year. I am adding some new shows and I should have our Holiday show available soon from the holiday dinner we had at Dr. B's house. I'll update you more later. Don't forget to start writing "2009."

Crystal

November 24, 2008

Hi everyone! Thanksgiving is almost here! I'm pretty excited. I have put up more shows since my last blog. Coaches show 10 and VP in the OC show 10 are up. And you can see all of the people at school who dressed for Halloween on Show 9. If you look at the thumbnail for show 9, you should see me dressed as Elektra from the Daredevil comics. Woo hoo! Keep checking back as I continue to add more shows. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and eats lots of turkey (unless you are a vegetarian)!

Crystal

October 21, 2008

I've added shows 4 and 5 and some of the coaches shows are up. Coaches show 5 is being prepared to go on as I type this. The editors have begun working on the homecoming video. Congratulations to all the homecoming princes (Jeff Pesner, Bhavik Patel, Jeremy Hohn, and Daniel Horist) and princesses (Brittnei Miller, Stacey Barnett, Haley Koch, and Eunice Yim) and to Nick Turner and Sarah Adams, our Homecoming king and queen. Good job to the football team too at the Homecoming game! I hope everyone who went to the dance had a good time. This week is Red Ribbon Week, so don't forget to wear red. I am currently wearing ten "Drug Use is Life Abuse" bracelets, a red shirt, a red jacket, red pants, and red socks, so I'm ready. I'll keep you posted on any new additions to the site and what our editors and crew are working on. Have a happy Halloween!

Crystal

October 6, 2008

Happy October! I've put up the summer show, show 1, and show 3. Shows 2 and 4 will be up soon. Make sure to check out Show 4 so you can watch our football team beat Trabuco Hills. Woo! I will also be putting up the coaches shows soon under TV Production.

Crystal

September 15, 2008

Hi everyone! This is Crystal, officially your new webmaster. I hope everyone had a great summer. We're now a few weeks into the school year, and I hope everyone is enjoying their schedules. I know I am. Well, we're back working on shows for the year with new hosts Josh Samuels and Dillon Fisher, who should do a really great job. The first show is done, so that should be up soon for your viewing pleasure. We have a great cast this year and we've added French news in addition to the Spanish and Korean we had last year. We also have a second show called "VP Football Coaches" that shows the VP coaches in action. We're all really excited about starting a new season of the show, and I'll keep you posted on any upcoming shows and events. Be back soon!

Your webmaster,

May 15, 2008

Hey guys, it's Curtis. This is will probably be my last bulletin that i will post. The year is at it's end and I feel that Crystal is a wonderful webmaster to take over my job and continue archiving. I had a wonderful year this year and will remember all of the good moments that i had here in Media.

May 13, 2008

Well, Dr. Bartom announced to the class today that she was informed of the results from the 2008 California Student Media Festival. With over 6000 entrants statewide and only two divisions with seven awards in each, we are very excited to have won a first place in each division. VPHS TV Media class won a first place for our new show "VP in the OC" in the Multimedia Division and another first place in the Video Division for the Student Portfolio category for: "Bittel Goes to College." Medallion winners for the TV Media department have been announced for graduation ceremonies who are our director, Dustin Downy, and our lead editor, Alex Amo. We took pictures today for the Program for the upcoming "10th Annual TV Media Awards" which will take place at 6:00 PM Friday June 6th in Villa Park City Hall. Lots of excitement there. We have gone through first round nominations and will be voting next week for the final winners to be announced that evening.

Curtis is getting ready to graduate, so I will be doing the web authoring from now on. Looking forward to taking over the website shortly.

Your webmaster,

May 2, 2008

Hi again! On June 6th, the Annual Media Awards will be taking place to honor those students in our media class who have stood out. We just finished with the preliminary productions, which included nominations for Best Director, Best Host, Best 2008 Show, Best Hair, and a number of other awards. I would tell you who I voted for, but I wouldn't want to make my classmates I didn't vote for feel bad. The awards should be aired on TV soon after they take place and it will be posted on the website. It's getting closer to the end of the year, with a little more than a month left. I know I'm excited. I'll keep you updated on the Media Awards so you know who makes it into the final nominations.

Spring Break's over and we're now on the last stretch to Summer Vacation! The weather's starting to warm up quite a bit. Media just got done submitting its entries for the 2008 California Media Awards, and we're feeling pretty confidant with our choices. We've done a few more shows that should be posted soon under TV Production. The California STAR Testing is coming up next week and ends the week after. AP testing begins on May 5. Good luck to everyone who has to take one or more of those. I myself will be taking a few this year, including the AP US History, AP Calculus, and the AP English exams, so good luck to me as well. We filmed Mr. Villa Park, which we are hoping to edit soon. We will be working on the varsity softball video as well. So long for now.

Your Webmaster,

Crystal

We're officially in March now! Hope everyone had a great Leap Day because there won't be another one until 2012. On February 22, a group of students from our Media class went to the Oscars' Media Day. The lucky attendees were Paula Newmaster, Curtis Melancon, Kevin Dilger, Samantha Markovitz, Ariel Padilla, Kyle Scott, Brad Banks, Eli Taylor, Josh Samuels, Jeff Pezner, Dustin Downy, Lupita Rodriguez, Stephanie Bea, Megan Smith, and Joey Moeller. Lupita Rodrguez interviewed Sid Ganis, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Stefan Ruzowitzky, Paula Newmaster interviewed the Austrian director of "Counterfeiters," which won for best foreign film. They also spoke with Ken Davitian from Borat, as well as a number of other important people in the movie industry. Our editors are working on the Oscars show now as well as an hour-long Oscars special that should air in a couple of weeks. Signed posters

Hey, this is Crystal again. We're almost done with our Valentine's Show, which is set up like the Dating Game, featuring Villa Park's foreign exchange student Aly from Italy and three of our own bachelors- Carter Ponce, Kyle Rhodes, and Mikhel Lyhne Hansen(who is another exchange student from Denmark). The Winter Formal video should be up soon. Hope you enjoy both and have a great Valentine's Day!

October 23, 2007

Way into the school year now, Media has shot and edited the video for "The Spartan Classic," a "Toddler Totoes" project for The Orange County Library, we have The Senior Video well underway plus filmed the "Senior Panorama" for the end and "The Best of The Best" for the front, shooting The Homecoming DVD (assembly, game and dance) this weekend and we'll make 250 copies to be distributed with everyone's Homecoming Photo Packets, starting to edit The Varsity Football Highlight Video, plus we've produced, edited and distributed 5 half-hour television shows. Our shows have been picked up by Time Warner and are seen at 8:40pm Wednesdays in eleven cities in Southern California!

Next week your Webmaster will be filming "Every Fifteen Minutes" for the Friday Assembly, along with 4 other cameramen. Really excited about that. Also excited about The International Media Festival this weekend. We'll be attending Friday workshops, in fact 2 of us are presenting at the Festival because of the quality of our work, and then Saturday morning we'll be getting our awards. People from all over the country will be there, so we're pretty stoked. My Assistant Webmaster Crystal will have to take over for me while I'm filming next week, so look for her work and maybe her first blog. -Curtis

November 20, 2006

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. I'll be your webmaster for the 2006-2007 school year. Im a junior this year, so that means I'll be managing the site this year as well as my senior year.

June 1 , 2006

Alright!! It's great to be back after AP testing season. Currently I'm working on getting TV Shows #14 and up onto the site. Soon I will also be putting up previous seasons of shows, including the "Mike and Brandon Show." Stay tuned in the site daily for more updates.

April 2, 2006

What's up Villa Park! Hey it's Wester Brunicus from the Media Department, I want you guys to check out the newly updated videos. These include "Girl's Soccer," "Hammer and Scottie Valentine's Day," and "Alex and Ashley Basketball." Be sure to watch the videos because they are so great... especially the VDay episode, which includes guest Cupid.

February 8, 2006

That's right folks. The moment you've all been waiting for...Paul Baeyen's Experience is back online! Don't forget to check out the newly posted "PBX Superman." Credits go to Ali for the amazing edit. Soon, the Fall Show #9 will be up and working correctly. For now, busy yourself with the preceding Fall Shows and possibly Paul Baeyens.

January 10, 2006

I am having some difficulty with the DVD Production page revisions, especially when using Internet Explorer. This problem will be fixed soon. I just finished posting Louis's Rotating School and Hammer Head animations, and will get the SACBE video online soon. I hope everyone had a relaxing winter break. Talk to you later.

December 17, 2005

As of now the site has many nicely edited videos posted, and I will continue to add more. Shows 6 and 7 should be up soon, although I do not know exactly when yet. There are also more Paul Baeyen's Experiences available for viewing, up to number 7. By the time I make my next post the DVD and TV Production sections will be revised.

November 9, 2005

I now have several sections of video actively being displayed on the website. Soon I will have much needed Fall Shows numbers 2 and 3 posted. I will also finish up placing links with pictures to several videos under DVD Production. Another thing to remember is the additions of "The Paul Baeyens Experience" short clips. So far, so good.

October 1, 2005

Drastically improved the site since the last time I posted a news update. I am currently working on getting media footage onto the site, and hope to get most of the previous material displayed by the end of this weekend. So far I have the Alex and Ashley Intro, and will soon get the Summer Show Intro posted. By the looks of it, my site operating schedule has been moving along quite well, and hopefully from here on out it will just continue to improve.
